M/T GOLDEN BANYAN Successfully Completes Joint SAR Drill with UK Coastguard

On 12.02.2026, our vessel M/T GOLDEN BANYAN successfully conducted a joint Search and Rescue exercise in cooperation with a UK Coastguard helicopter unit.

The drill was carried out in a safe and controlled manner, fully compliant with established maritime safety procedures and operational protocols. Throughout the exercise, communication and coordination between the vessel’s crew and the helicopter team were clear, efficient, and professional.

The scenario included simulated emergency response procedures, helicopter approach and winching operations, and onboard coordination measures designed to test readiness and teamwork under realistic conditions. All drill objectives were successfully achieved, demonstrating the crew’s preparedness, competence, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety at sea.

SEACON Ships Management Europe S.A. proudly announces the delivery of M/T Golden Banyan, an 18,500 DWT oil/chemical tanker constructed at Fujian Southeast Shipyard. The vessel joins SEACON’s managed fleet under full technical and HSQE management, meeting the latest IMO and MARPOL standards and fully compliant with SIRE 2.0 requirements.
